Polypipe WMS was approached to provide a holistic water management solution for the construction of a new commercial development at Trafford Park, Manchester.
The bespoke sustainable water management solution was designed to collect rainwater from the warehouse roof area for re-use in toilet flushing using an Eco-Vat rainwater harvesting solution, with a Polystorm modular attenuation solution installed underneath the car park to manage excess stormwater from all hard-standing areas. Alongside the Eco-Vat and Polystorm products, Ridgidrain structured-wall drainage pipe was used to connect the new water management solution to the existing drainage network.
Polypipe WMS worked closely with Morgan Ashurst and groundwork contractor Cara Construction to ensure the holistic solution met the required performance criteria, with all products supplied to site within the appropriate timeframes.
The Trafford Park development provided a clear example of how products from the WMS portfolio can be integrated to provide a holistic solution to meet the requirements of modern building regulations, legislation and sustainability targets.
